The content of our workshops is adapted to the age groups and learning style of the class. Our workshops have been developed in response to the National Curriculum learning targets and specifically to the IPC special topic on chocolate and the Mayan History topic in Key Stage 2. We offer three kinds of workshops: 
 
TASTING OPTION (option 4)

In this historical session we cover many topics, including Maya and Aztec history, the arrival of cocoa in Europe, and the development of cocoa into chocolate (how chocolate is made and geography). It also includes a tasting session covering textures, quality and flavours

 

from £6. to £8.50 per child according to group size

 

TASTING & MAKING OPTION (option 5)
This workshop includes the "Tasting Option" above, as well as the making of basic chocolate
truffles, or funny Monkey faces ²(in our new Biodiversity workshop), and wrapping.
All the chocolates are taken home.
 
from £7.50. to £10 per child according to group size  
 
We cover topics such as:
How chocolate is made, History of cocoa and chocolate, Mayan history and cocoa traditions,
farming, rainforest and natural habitat, international trade, consumption & sustainability,
Science and making process...
